James is an active-duty United States Marine with nearly 20 years of service. A Purple Heart recipient, he currently serves as an Infantry Weapons Officer—Marine Gunner. Originally from northern California, James spent just over six years stationed in California before being assigned as a combat instructor at Camp Lejeune. Since then, he has spent most of his career on the East Coast, rotating between Camp Lejeune and the National Capital Region with his wife, Natalie, and their two sons, Lincoln and Jackson.
Their family is grounded in a commitment to physical and mental wellness. They embrace every opportunity to travel, believing that life is made up of experiences. Their goal is to teach their boys how to responsibly step outside their comfort zones—whether through trying new foods or chasing adrenaline.
